Maximum Profit Feed Formulation

Description:

This technology is a group of algorithms that work together as a flexible and practical model that enables poultry nutritionists to develop broiler feed formulations that will deliver maximum profit rather than simply the least cost. This model can be used in conjunction with existing least cost models to aid decision-making and is particularly useful when there is high variability in feed ingredient and broiler meat prices.

This model maximizes profitability by including an algorithm to forecast broiler meat prices, thus introducing a revenue component dimension to the model in addition to the cost considerations. The model also incorporates interactions between Dietary Nutrient Density (DND) and environmental temperature, feed forms, and sex and age of the bird. No other nutritional model contemplates these variables together in one user-friendly model.
